Addiction to hoodies and colorful cat beds

And here comes another blog post just before Easter! The sun was shining so much these days that I just couldn’t make gray things anymore. So what happened? Look below!

So the most colorful thing in this post definitely has got to be this cat bed. I crocheted it a while ago, but just couldn’t find time to take some proper pictures of it. But I did today! This bed is super comfy, so my Cornish Rex cat Coco got immediately addicted to it – she just didn’t want to give it back! I think I will have to make one for her too. This bed is hand crocheted from 100% acrylic yarn, so it’s really soft & thick at the same time. It holds the shape perfectly, weighs about 400 g (almost 1 pound) and is very easy to take with you while traveling! You can purchase the bed over here: Colorful pet bed.

Now here come the hoodies! I haven’t made hoodies in a while, so when I found this soft acrylic yarn, I knew immediately what I’m gonna do with them. This yarn is 100% acrylic, so it is super soft and will not irritate even the most sensitive skin. It is also very stretchy and snuggly, so if you want your kitty to have something cute & soft, this sweater will meet all your expectations! I wish…

In the end of June I was contacted by a lady called Dana, who works for ”Make a wish” organization. She told me, that she was looking for a sweater for Sphynx kitten and whether I could make one within a month. The Sphynx kitten was one child’s wish and he wanted the kitten to have a yellow sweater. Without a doubt I was immediately up for it! If I have an opportunity to make this world at least a little bit better place, I’ll do it. Especially, if all it takes is a one tiny cat sweater. So, Dana chose this design:

And this is what I came up with few days later:

“Make a wish” received the sweater quickly and without any problems. Another awesome thing is that more people also participated in this and the boy received in total 3 yellow sweaters for his new kitty! He loves the kitten so much and he helped him to get through all the difficult treatments. Here are couple of pictures of him and the kitty (I blurred the boy’s face for understandable reasons):

It warms my heart so much to see a smile on this little boy’s face! I really hope he will get better and gets to enjoy his life to the fullest for many years to come.

3 Day Quote Challenge. Day 3 – The joy of work

Today is the last day of the challenge, and I will be talking about the thing, that takes a huge part of our lives – work. Because it takes such a big chunk out of our everyday life, we MUST do what we enjoy. Yes, earlier I did jobs I didn’t like. Well, only one actually, but it lasted only a month. Why? Because I felt, how it sucked every single breath out of me and I felt so bad about it. I even remember crying before going to work, because I felt just so… disappointed. Hurt. Depressed. So I left it. And thank God I did it! After that I’ve been doing only the jobs I like. And believe me – I am so much happier right now. Do what you have to do, but don’t get stuck in that boring circle for too long. Do some crazy stuff. Enjoy yourself and your life! You have only one life after all. 🙂

3 Day Quote Challenge. Day 1 – It’s all about love

I always like reading, what other people enjoy. I always want to know, what inspires them, challenges them, gives them happiness and the most pure childish joy. This is one of the reasons, why I happily accepted the 3 Day Quote Challenge. Thank you for nominating me, Guenny!

I’ve seen this challenge going on for a while already, and the rules of it are so different. Some people post loads of quotes each day, others post only one quote a day. Someone nominates 3 people every day, while another person nominates only one. So I decided to do this my way: I will be nominating one person each day. And about the quotes… I will talk about three things: love, life and work. I will share with you my inspiration & approach to these topics and what reflects my way of loving, living and working.

First off, I’ll start with love. And I am not talking only about the love between the two lovers. I think it’s even more important to love yourself. And to love everyone and everything around you. It absolutely doesn’t matter, what we believe in, what we look like, what we think about something/someone, where we go – as long as we do everything with love to each other, it will make the world more beautiful. And us too.
