Hi, I’m Asta – lifelong cat devotee, artisan of handmade feline fashion, and a (very proud) cat mom to Jupiter, my Bambino, soulmate, and daily chaos coordinator.

PurringPyjamas began with a pair of hairless kittens, a pile of yarn, and a Finnish winter – and today, it’s grown into something much more: a space where I share everything from cozy catwear to product reviews, feline health insights, and the occasional homemade sourdough success.

I’ve been knitting since childhood (blame long winters and a creative family), and I still run my Etsy shop full of comfy, Sphynx-friendly clothing made with care and love. Creating is my stress relief, and there’s nothing more satisfying than making a cat feel warm, stylish, and cozy.

But my passion for cats runs far beyond fashion. After my beloved Jupiter experienced serious gut issues due to poor veterinary care, I decided to dive headfirst into the world of feline nutrition and behavior. I now study it part-time – and hope to offer nutrition consulting in the future.

When I’m not knitting or studying the benefits of rabbit protein, I’m working toward my second degree (a Bachelor of Social Services), baking way too much bread, reading science articles for fun, and probably asking my cat what he thinks of my outfit.
